Steve is an executive leader that elevates business performance through strategy, process and people. He’s known as a strategic leader who accelerates business transformations through utilization of Agile, Lean and Six Sigma tools. Steve has a passion to mentor and coach others to drive culture change that leads to improved individual and team performance and business results. With his GE Six Sigma certification and extensive leadership development, Steve is a data driven problem solver who drives sustainable process improvement, productivity, and growth.

Steve most recently was the Executive Vice President of Operations at Hawkins, Inc., a chemical manufacturer and distributor. Before Hawkins, he was a Regional General Manager in the Paperboard Converting Division of Newark Recycled Paperboard Solutions, a producer of recycled paperboard, from 2012 to 2013. Previously, he spent a total of fifteen years during two different periods at General Electric in a variety of engineering, Six Sigma, supply chain, and plant leadership positions in the Plastics, Aircraft Engines, Lighting, and Water divisions. From 2005-2008, he was a Corporate Global Supply Chain Engagement Leader with Ingersoll Rand, a global diversified industrial company, driving business transformation projects across the globe.

Steve received his MBA in Organizational Behavior from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. In addition to his Six Sigma Black Belt from GE, Steve is certified in Lean Manufacturing from Ingersoll Rand as well as an Agile Practitioner from the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas.

Steve remains very active with the Boy Scouts of America, serving in various leadership positions at the Council and Unit level. In his free time, he enjoys flying and teaching others how to fly, competes in triathlons, and enjoys the outdoors through backpacking and hiking.
